Description

The UC-HBCU Initiative is a program developed by the University of California, Irvine (UCI), aimed at fostering collaboration between UCI and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This initiative offers numerous benefits, including promoting diversity and inclusion in higher education, facilitating knowledge exchange and research partnerships between institutions, and providing opportunities for students and faculty from both UCI and HBCUs to engage in collaborative projects, ultimately enhancing educational experiences and advancing academic excellence.

Requirements and Qualifications

Eligible participants must be currently enrolled as undergraduate students in a credited Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Participants will be selected based on academic preparation, overall achievements, personal statement and interest in neuroscience research. Prior research experience is not required.
