Clark Atlanta University (CAU) is located in the heart of the Atlanta Metro area. Clark Atlanta University (CAU) is an African-American liberal arts college that enrolls about 5,000 students yearly. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees through its five schools: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Social Work, and Office of Graduate Studies. CAU is a member of the Atlanta University Center, a consortium of educational institutions that includes Spelman College and Morehouse College. Clark Atlanta University came into existence with the 1988 merger of two historically African-American colleges founded in the 1860s -- Clark College and Atlanta University.
