Congressional Black Caucus Kakehashi Project(Japan Study Abroad)

Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university
- Must identify as African American or Black
- Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
- Must be interested in learning about Japanese culture and society

Requirements:
- Must attend all pre-departure and post-return orientations and complete all program assignments
- Must participate in all program activities and events while in Japan
- Must be willing to engage with Japanese culture and society in an open-minded and respectful manner
- Must have a valid U.S. passport at the time of application and for the duration of the program

Eligibility:
- Students from all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply
- Previous study or knowledge of Japanese language or culture is not required
