The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) in partnership with Apple is proud to present the Apple HBCU Scholars Program to outstanding students attending a Historically Black College or University. Eligible students should be currently working towards a degree in an undergraduate, Masters, Law or Ph.D. program.
Selected Scholars will receive a $15,000 merit-based scholarship and participate in a 12-week internship. Each scholar will be assigned an Apple mentor throughout their experience, receive an opportunity to develop key skills, and help launch their careers through the hands-on experience gained at one of the most innovative tech companies in the world.
Program criteria:
- Enrolled full-time at a four-year accredited HBCU
- Graduating between December 2022 and May 2024 (e.g., graduate students, Law or Ph.D. program, or undergraduate sophomores, juniors, or seniors pursuing a fifth year of study.)
- Prior internship, leadership, and/or team projects experience.

Scholar Expectations (including, but not limited to the following)
- Must be able to participate in all program-related activities.
- Willing and able to spend 12 weeks interning during the summer months of May through August 2022.
- Must remain in good academic standing.
- Must not have any disciplinary infractions on academic record.
- Able to successfully complete all program requirements.
- Utilize Apple technology (e.g., MacBook, iPhone, etc.).
- Students selected to participate in the program must provide TMCF with supporting documentation requested during the financial need verification
